About

Followed by the original creation of the Chinese x French culinary philosophy which inspired the stunning trilogy of Abalone Pithivier, Fish Maw and Sea Cucumber, VEA Restaurant and Lounge debuts “Tribute to The Roots” series, a major event in the restaurant’s annual calendar that invites one master chef each year for a special collaboration. The first edition themed “Chinese Umami” headlines three-Michelin-starred Forum Restaurant for a first-ever brunch experience, to be held on 18th and 19th July, 2020.

Representing Forum Restaurant, Executive Chef Adam Wong is the last protege of internationally-acclaimed “King of Abalone” Yeung Koon-yat. He will be joined by Chef Vicky Cheng, chef and co-owner of VEA, where they will celebrate  the harmonious blend of modern Chinese x French ideologies, and classic Chinese culinary wisdom and heritage.

The “Chinese Umami Brunch” is also the first-of-its-kind at VEA, channeling a more relaxed and casual vibe during daytime than its usual fine-dining setting for dinner. The menu will feature collaborative dishes that are set to wow palates, even the most discerning gourmands, as well as premium creative dim sums from both restaurants.

“The ‘Tribute to The Roots’ series commemorates the return of our humble beginnings, and there is no better way to kick off the series with Forum Restaurant, celebrating our passion and love of Chinese ingredients,” Chef Vicky says. “It is a true blessing to be curating a special menu with like-minded people who pay equal amounts of respect to our traditions and execute them with brilliant, authentic ideas.”

We serve an 8-Course Brunch Tasting Menu at HK$2,580 (+10% service charge) with a complimentary glass of KRUG champagne. RSVP to the "Tribute to the Roots: Chinese Umami Brunch" experience!
